Ma: I am very glad to invite Mr. Xu Weihao, an expert in the lighting group of Hong Kong Asian television station, to participate in this exchange meeting. I also want to thank other experts who have been invited to participate in this exchange meeting. This time, we want to communicate with experts, users and manufacturers on the use of lighting and lighting products, so as to jointly seek solutions to common problems in the use of lighting and put forward suggestions to lighting manufacturers For practical suggestions.

I have also visited some central and local TV stations. Now I have raised some issues that may be more common to all of you. Please discuss them together.

What are the common problems in the lighting of the studio

Lin: often, for example, the reflection of the host's glasses, and the appearance of stripes on the host's face.

Xu: Yes, this is the most common situation, as well as the phenomenon of light saturation and the host being fat and thin. In such cases, the way we usually adopt is to block the light in a certain direction with a light shield.

Ma: what are the general ways of setting a news studio?

Xu: there are two kinds of virtual matting and real scene, the latter is more difficult to set light.

Ma: how about the use of LED in news studio? Is it available?

Wu: generally, we only do some backlight effect or scenery contrast, less use.

Ma: what are the differences between Hong Kong studios and mainland studios?

Xu: the difference is that the studios in Hong Kong are basically fixed (fixed hosts, scenes, lights and programs). The number of studios in mainland China has changed a lot, mainly because the number of studios is not enough.

Ling: which is better to use high color and low color temperature lamp for blue back plate?

Xu: lower color temperature is better.

King: usually the problem of saturation is the problem of saturation. Is it related to the gamma code value of the camera?

Xu: and post production;

Lin: the adjustment of white balance also has something to do with it. In some post production, the effect of white balance is not good.

We called on the relevant departments of TV stations to pay attention to the camera factory settings and strengthen the communication and coordination between camera and lighting technicians.

Ma: what are the advantages and disadvantages of tricolor lamps in use?

Lin: TV stations often buy imported lamps and lanterns, but they use domestic lamps of ordinary quality, which are not good enough;

Ling: and different brands of lamps give different light. For example, auslang and Philips lamps with the same color temperature (standard is 3200) give different light. Generally, auseland tends to be red.

Ling: which ratio is better for cold light source and hot light source in studio?

Xu: it depends on the TV station's preference: the cold light source saves electricity, and the hot light source has better stereo effect.

Ling: please take a look at the news that we are broadcasting now, and find out what are the shortcomings. Please give me some advice;

Xu: there is a little reflection on the host's forehead. Everything else is OK.

Ling: is there any way to solve this problem?

Xu: this can be remedied with make-up.

Ma: what are the differences between domestic lamps and imported ones?

Lin: the luminosity of domestic lamps and lanterns is only about 1 / 3 of that of imported lamps and lanterns. Of course, the price is quite cheap.

Xu: This is mainly about the quality of the reflective cup.

In discussing the use of the light plate, Mr. Xu suggested that the light selecting board should be selected and not completely blocked. If there is something that does not need to reflect light, use black paper to block it.

Ma: is it better to put the silicon box in the studio or separate it from the studio?

Xu: it's better to separate them, because there are cooling fans in the silicon box, and there will be noise no matter how. So it's better not to put it in the studio.

Ma: what are the problems in lighting of open studio?

Xu: the glass in the computer room should be inclined or replaced with non reflective glass to avoid reflection.

Ma: it seems that led is rarely used in news studios. What is the reason?

Xu: the price of imported LED is very high, but the color temperature is guaranteed. For example: color temperature 3200 LED lights, in the use of tens of thousands of hours, the basic color temperature can still maintain 3200.

Lin: the price of domestic LED is low, but the color temperature deviation is relatively large. In addition to the technical problems, there is no set of production standards for LED in China, so that the quality of LED is uneven.

It is suggested that relevant organizations can formulate relevant production standards, or establish some verification organizations to standardize production.

Ling: what background colors do you usually use to pick up scenery?

Xu: use blue. You can use blue cloth.

King: a blue bottom will do.

Lin: when the background is strong window light, and sudden weather changes affect the shooting, what is the good solution?

Xu: transparent glass can be used as background when the weather changes.

Ma: what are the solutions to solve the problem of reflection when the direct light is serious on the location?

Xu: you can use the light plate to block the direct light.

Ma: are the more lamps and lanterns the better?

Xu: the more lamps and lanterns, the better. I spent a lot of money to buy a lot of lamps, but I didn't use them or couldn't use them. It was a waste. Therefore, the role of the lamp should be considered before using it.

Lin: it's the best to make the best effect with the least light.

"Make the best effect with the least light" is the highest combination of art and technology. This great ideal needs the joint efforts of our manufacturers and users.
